Have you been hearing the buzz about an Alkaline Diet?

#1. What are Alkaline foods and what are not?

#2. Where do you begin?

#3. How difficult is it?

#4 Is there an easy way to figure this out?

#5. Are there any "rules" you have to follow?

At Suede Hills Organic Farm (www.suedehills.com) we are living proof of the difference an alkaline lifestyle can make in your body and your overall enjoyment of life. Phil, my husband released over 40 pounds and I released over 20 pounds. It is all about enjoying life! Can you say... "Even better sex!"?

#1. If it is fruit or vegetable it is probably alkaline "forming". That is the key, e.g. even though a lemon is acidic on the tongue, it is alkaline "forming" in the way it is utilized by your body.

#2. Baby steps to .Add fresh fruits and veggies to your meals and snacks, instead of the processed or packaged foods that  are acid forming!!

#3. Ease or difficulty is a state of mind. Follow step number two and you are well on your way to a healthier alkaline diet.

#4. If it didn't grow on a tree, vine, bush or directly in the ground, then chances are it will form acid in your body.

#5. The only rule to follow is to be true to yourself and your desire for better health. If you aim at eating 75-80% alkaline forming foods in a day, that still leaves you 20-25% for those acid forming foods that you think you can't live without

Be good to yourself and truly "Put your money where your mouth is!"

Contact us a Suede Hills Organic Farm and we will be happy to send you FREE pH test strips so you can check the acid/alkaline level in your body.

If you ever want to expand your way of looking at things, then you want to attend a David Wolfe event!

We have been blessed to participate as invited vendors at two David Wolfe events in the last year. The first time was in Calgary at the University, and just last weekend we had the priveledge of experiencing David and his perspective on life and health in Vancouver, B.C.

Raw authentic organic food is just one aspect of David's passion. This time he touched on levitation verses gravity, a real eye opener I must confess. Then he went in depth talking about the Terminator II Zapper and its healing benefits, which we sell here at Suede HIlls Organic Farm (www.suedehills.com. Call our toll free number 1-877-682-1188 to order, as they are not available on the website as yet. We also welcome your questions.)

These "zappers" have made a huge difference in our lives personally, (killing and eliminating intestinal worms, and also stopping a cold sore from developing, to mention just a couple). My step-father has had incredible results using the "zapper", it has totally empowered him to close his arthritic hands and turn his neck, which he had been unable to do for years! And that was in just 2 days of using the "zapper"!!

If you want to prevent needing to use a "zapper" then you best get turned on to an Alkaline diet, or at the very least, start taking our Suede Hills pH Happy Caps, to help raise your alkalinity level so your body is empowered to start healing itself!

The best food ever was provided at the David Wolfe event by our good friend Preet from Organic Lives. Preet usually carries an assortment of our Suede Hills products for those of you in the Vancouver area. If you are wanting to try some gourmet Raw Food then you need to go see Preet and Amarit at 1829 Quebec St. Vancouver, B.C. Tell them that Cindy and Phil from Suede Hills sent you!David Wolfe with Phil from Suede Hills Organic Farm

  Wishing you "Sweet Success"

I am glad that you asked, "What is the difference between Alfalfa Powder and Alfalfa sprouts?"

They start out the same....from an Alfalfa seed. But that is where the similarities end. When the Alfalfa sprout, "sprouts", it has used up the energy/nutrition of the seed from which it came. Therefore that sprout has little to offer you nutrition wise. Though fresh "live" food is always enjoyable! But from a nutrition stand point the sprout is less than an optimum choice.

Mature, nutrient rich Alfalfa leaves, which are grown as certified organic, and naturally dried offer your body phenominal nutrition that is easily accessible all year long! Let me get to the "root" of the matter, pun intended!!

Here is where the major difference is. The root system of an Alfalfa plant can reach a depth of 100 feet! Thus it is constantly tapping the virgin nutrition that other plants can not tap into. It is the soil where the minerals and vitamins, amino acids and digestive enzymes are located.

Here at Suede Hills Organic Farm (www.suedehills.com), we are located on ancient river bed, the soil is sand (which is ground up rocks, which is what minerals are). Our Alfalfa Powder is so nutrient dense that we use the stems and left over bits as the ONLY fertilizer for our Green Leaf Stevia plants, as well as in the Olive grove and in the mint patches!!

There is a reason why Alfalfa means "The Father of Food", it simply has all the nutrition the soil has to offer, plus more protein than beef ( 'cause alfalfa is where beef gots its protein from!!!!!!) There is an amazing amount of fiber, and chlorophyll too.

We do not have any need for additional supplements when we eat our Alfalfa Powder everyday it truly has everything our body requires in a green food for optimal health. For our breakfast recipe check out "Phil's Ultimate Breakfast with a Schmunkie". The recipe can be found in the recipe section of our website, www.suedehill.com

We wish you, HEALTH, WEALTH and WISDOM!!

We get asked that question, "How much should I take?" quite often. So I thought I would take this opportunity to let folks know the answer on a broader scale.

For our products, such as the Suede Hills Certified Organic Alfalfa Powder, we remind people that all it is, is naturally dried, nutrient-rich Alfalfa leaves....that just happen to contain an amazing amount of nutrition and thus, health benefits. Most whole plant foods do contain health benefits....that is why we eat them! So, if you do not need a "dosage" for the amount of lettuce leaves you should eat, you do not need a dosage for the amount of Alfalfa powder either.

Hippocrates said, "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food".

But we do understand the question, and we do want to help people the best way we know how....and that is to share information. So, even though we are not doctors, we have a vast amount of experience with the positive benefits of our products, especially the Alfalfa Powder. I have been using our Suede Hills (www.suedehills.com) Alfalfa Powder for over 9 years, and have I ever noticed a big difference in my overall health! My husband has been using Alfalfa Powder for going on 30+ years....he can tell you the difference that it makes. Just one side benefit that we have noticed is that our skin is quite youthful and smooth....I believe because of the amazing detox ability of our Organic Alfalfa Powder, and all that we take is ONE HEAPING Tablespoon per day. If we wanted to do a natural colon cleanse, we would just up that amount until the bowel movements were loose and we got all cleaned out!

The best thing we can recommend is to get in touch with your body, it will tell you what it wants! Some people start taking only 1 teaspoon of our Alfalfa and find it has a cleansing effect. This may or may not be welcome, but your body is taking advantage of the Alflafa Powder and cleaning house! Which you probably needed any way. Please remember that this overt cleansing will not go on indefinitely, this will probably only last for a day or two, if at all. Remember, every "body" is different. Listen to yours, your health depends on it!

  Enjoy 2 day!

We have had a few inquiries lately from around the globe, from people in places like Malta and Singapore. Folks want to know what makes our Certified Organic Green Leaf Stevia different from anything else on the market. They also want to know how we fertilize our plants, so I am going to give you the details in a nutshell. Here at Suede Hills Organic Farm, we are what is referred to as a closed loop operation. What that means to you is that when you buy our Green Leaf Stevia, Alfalfa, & Olive Leaf products, you are getting pure plant nutrition and benefits, without any harmful chemicals or questionable fertilizers. We know this because everything we use to fertilize our plants is grown on our farm!

We are blessed with mineral-rich alkaline sandy soil, which feeds all of our plants and especially the Alfalfa plants, who's roots can go to a depth of 100 feet. The Alfalfa roots tap into the virgin nutrition of the soil and bring it up into the leaves and stems of the plant. The first few cuttings in the spring we use this nutrient-rich Alfalfa mulch to fertilize the Green Leaf Stevia beds. We also have Alfalfa growing around the Olive grove, and as the Alfalfa gets cut and is allowed to break down, it too fertilizes the Olive trees.

All of our plants are hand harvested, and naturally dried in order to retain their enzymes and keep the nutritional integrity of the leaves.

One other blessing is that we have our own alkaline well water, which we use to irrigate the entire farm. No chlorine or other chemicals are added. It just doesn't get any better than that!
